Currie House Restoration

Harry Seidler was the Modernist Trailblazer in Australia. This small project from 1952 shows his post-war resourcefulness in having a tight budget and what was then a tough access Northern Beaches.

We were asked to research and restore many major elements of the building, working around existing Asbestos materials that were so common from the 1950’s.

An excellent, simple open plan design by Harry made it extremely easy to be enthusiastic in the difficult nature of heritage research and restoration.

A true honour to bring this house back to life.
