The Role of the Architect comes with many misconceptions. To many the role of the architect is akin to that of a draftsman. That is, the Architect’s role is simply to draft the plans and the builder does the rest.
If it were that simple, an Architectural Degree would not take 6+years and require registration.
The Role of the Architect is much more complex than that. When describing the role of the Architect I often think of the image of a duck. All is calm on the surface of the water but underneath the legs are pumping and working hard.

WHY CHOSE A DUAL QUALIFIED ARCHITECT/BUILDER?
The old adage "two sides of the same coin" comes to mind. There is immeasurable value in having your Architectural Designs drafted with a mindfulness to best building practices and a builder being tasked to construct off design plans drafted with an understanding of what is required.
